CM2-40 50HZ horizontal multistage centrifugal pumps. Pump is coupled with motor at the same shaft and mounted on a base-plate. Common problems and solutions to the water pump
1)Inspection of mechanical seal of water pump
- During the use of the water pump, the mechanical seal will cause the leakage to exceed the standard due to wear. At this time, it must be carried out. In addition to the maintenance and replacement of rubber sealing elements of rubber submersible axial flow pump, the dynamic and static sealing rings can be replaced or ground according to the damage.
2)The pump motor can be started, but it stops after a few seconds:
- First, the contactor's self-protection contact cannot be closed normally;
- Second, the starting torque of the water pump motor is too large (generally caused by mechanical jamming, depending on the specific situation), resulting in the action of the low-voltage comprehensive protection or thermal relay;
- Third, the water pump motor winding or cable is grounded or short-circuited, causing the air switch to trip.
3)Reasons why the water pump cannot be started
- After starting, the motor does not rotate and there is no sound, which indicates that the circuit is blocked. At this time, check whether the power circuit is an open circuit and whether the fuse is fused. If there is no abnormality, the stator winding of the motor may be burned out.
- After starting, the motor does not rotate and there is a "buzzing" sound. In this case, stop the machine immediately for an inspection. The reasons are:
- One phase of the water pump power line or stator winding is blocked, resulting in phase failure operation.
- The voltage is too low. The reason may be that the power supply voltage is low, the cable is too long and the section is too small. It should be checked one by one.
- There are foreign matters in the pump body, the bearing is damaged and stuck, and phenomena such as "wrapping the shaft" and "seizing" occur. At this time, the pump should be inspected and cleaned.
- The starting capacitor fails. When the capacitive water pump is connected to the power supply, a buzzing sound can be heard, but the submersible pump motor does not rotate. At this time, if the impeller is gently moved and the submersible pump can rotate immediately, it can be judged that the capacitance has been damaged.
